The location is exceptional and marvellous, close to main town centre. And it's nestled in a neat building adjacent to Very near train station, the takayama JR station / bus terminal and the main attractions.

The hotel is very close to the station and to the bus terminal. It is also close to the old town with typical streets. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Our futons were very comfortable, the hot spring baths were very good and we also enjoyed the private baths. The staff was incredibly helpful and very nice to talk to. We appreciated the attention to detail: oil burner for the room, choice of different yukata to wear every day, green tea and sweets at tea time, lots of little extra things that made the stay wonderful.

This place really tries to provide you with 5-star hospitality service. The staff calls you by name and is very attentive to every detail of your stay. The rooms are huge for Japan standard. They also lend you a nice colorful yukata to wear during your stay, which was a great added bonus. It is also very close to the jr station, less than 2 blocks away. The price is definitely on the higher end. I suppose you get what you paid for, which is not always true for other accommodations.
Somehow Booked.net made a mistake on my booking. I booked for one person but Koto No Yume's info show a booking for two people. But they were nice enough to reduce my quoted price, since it was for two people, even though I was prepared to pay my quoted price for one person.
